What is a vibrant community? What is the role of youth in building a future society that reflects the principles of justice and the oneness of humanity?
This two-day conference is for youth ages 15-25 in Upstate NY & Western PA to explore these questions with their peers in the light of Baha'i Teachings and the Baha'i world's experience working shoulder to shoulder with others to improve the material and spiritual well-being of communities. There will be ample time for spirited discussion and study, fellowship, devotions, healthy recreation, and the arts. This conference is organized by and for youth, with support from everyone else!
The conference is free (donations will be accepted), and we want nothing to get in the way of young people's participation. There is support with transportation and accommodations. And let us know how else we can help.

The Institute’s sacred charge is to release the potential of young people to transform their society. Institute camps are spaces where youth ages 14-25 can come and learn to be protagonists of community transformation.
At youth camp, we:
pray
study materials that help us develop habits, attitudes, and skills for serving our community
learn how to become children’s class teachers, animators, devotional hosts
deepen our understanding of spiritual concepts through arts
develop our friendships through meaningful conversations and games
build a welcoming and inclusive community
Register for our next institute camp with the registration form!
For your first institute camp, you also need to have your parent complete the parent permission form.
The youth conduct agreement outlines guidelines for how youth will conduct themselves in the space - read it before coming to camp!
The Northeast Regional Training Institute’s educational programs help children, youth, and adults to acquire skills, develop habits, and learn to be active participants in building vibrant communities. These efforts stem from the beliefs, espoused in the Writings of the Bahá'í Faith, that all of humanity is one, that every person can be a protagonist in creating a better world, and that the education of young people, particularly moral and spiritual education, is essential for developing our capacities to be of service to our communities.
